The main goal of my work is to give the audience an experience of wonder. My method is Consciousness-Based Creation, where the artist focuses on self-development. Mostly I create figurative works - portraits of people and animals, which can be characterized as contemporary surrealism and magical realism. The precious blue colors, which were accessible only to court artists in modern history, blur the visuals and give them an ephemeral glow. The individual transformative journey, the old traditions, and the broad mythology of ancient Lithuania rooted in the Indo-European tradition are important to me. Comparative studies of world mythology, religions, spirituality, and anthropology build the main context for my practice. With my body of work I aim to open up the miraculous and turn everyday reality into a radiant beauty and inspiration. Wonder can delight, interest, and give the mind a vehicle to transcend reality.
